Hi! I’m Michelle and thank you for visiting one of the thousands (or hundred thousands) of travel blogs on the internet. I’m not sure what led you here but welcome and I do hope that you stick around.
Why do you have a travel blog?
Like many millenials, I document my life with posts and photos on social media. With my blog, I can share more about my experiences with those that are actually interested in my travels and life abroad.
I hope to encourage others to travel more intentionally and to plan for the experience they want to have. Every trip can be a great trip if you learn how to calibrate your expectations. I also want to share my experience as an expat and tips for those that want to make the transition.
What’s your deal?
I was a military brat growing up and lived in several states in the US as well as in Germany. I’m not from any specific place as I have moved every four to six years throughout my life. My upbringing has fueled my desire to travel and experience the world through eating new food, dancing to local music, and connecting with people.
I currently live in Estonia with my husband Mark and our two dogs Watson and Sherlock. Moving to Estonia was unexpected but we couldn’t overlook such a unique experience for us and Mark’s career. In early 2019, we sold our house, our car, and most of our belongings to a move to a country that we knew little about.
